Wednesday 13 dissapointment
ok so if you know of Wednesday 13, you will either love him or hate him and everything hes been in from Maniac Spider Trash to Murderdolls, Frankenstien Drag Queens From Planet 13, to his solo project Wednesday 13.
Recently got his new album Skeletons,
and EP Bloodwork and i must say i was rather dissapointed in it. the EP wasnt bad. no real gripes there but the album just didnt live up to what i expected. firstly i LOVED his last two albums, really really loved them and was SUPER excited about the new album. however when i got it i was bitterly dissapointed. on his myspace site he said that it would be the heaviest album to date....i thought so wat..heavy shmevy..as long as its wednesday 13 itle still rock...how wrong i was.
yes the album is more heavy than the last but thats the only thing it has going for it. the songs are the same as the last two albums, no real change in lyrics, just more dribble about monsters and B-Horror movies. that was fine for the first two albums but by the 3rd...gets a little repetative. as for the album being heavier, its only just heavier. downtuning and uping the distortion doesnt make a good album. sadly i think he seriously failed to meet his grand claims that it would be the heaviest and best yet. to add to this failure, it was an exclusive to Hot Topic, the one shop i detest above all others. who does that...really..who makes it exclusive to a trash goth shop.....maybe he realised it wasnt his best album and thought he'd sell it as a novelty at Hot Topic..i dont no..but what i do know is that this was the biggest dissapointment sinse i read that Still Remains broke up, not two weeks after they didnt play at Soundwave because their flight was snowed in. i was so cut that they didnt play....but thought "its ok, there is always next gig"...but there wont be
anyone dissagree? thnk its the greatest album since The Wall?
